Thank You From Geauga Hunger Task Force

December 15, 2020

A huge thank you from the Board of the Geauga Hunger Task Force for the amazing support this year. We are humbled by the gifts from the community to feed the hungry in body and soul in 2020. We also want to thank the many, many volunteers that work at the pantries throughout the county. Their hands are an outreach of a loving spirit and community.

Although there were groups that had to pause their fundraising in 2020, there were others that stepped up to fill the void left behind. You have created an oasis from one stress in these very difficult times. One less worry, one less fear. The pantries are ready to meet one of the basic needs of our neighbors due to the generosity of individuals, families, businesses and many organizations.

Over the last summer, United Way, the Cleveland Food Bank and Geauga Hunger Task Force teamed up to help distribute boxes of food for approximately 200 families each week. There were donations that allowed the continued backing to community support agencies.

Now that the year is coming to an end, please consider giving a gift to an organization that will help others in need for this coming winter. There are several non-profits in our wonderful community that can use your help. To name a few there is The Geauga Hunger Task force (209 Center Street Chardon, OH 44024 or www.geaugahungertaskforce.org) to feed your neighbors, the Salvation Army or United Way to clothe, shelter, or assist others in many ways.

“One tree can start a forest, One smile can begin a friendship, One hand can lift a soul, One word can frame the goal, One candle can wipe out darkness, One laugh can conquer gloom, One hope can raise our spirits” -Mae Anderson.
And...Your one choice can change a life.
