Something Good for Geauga County!

May 25, 2016

If you are considering a way to get involved with the Geauga Hunger Task Force and support the food pantries that operate in Geauga County. There is a beautiful opportunity this summer to be a volunteer that grows something good for our neighbors.

Churches and community organizations around the county have raised beds on their property (like this one at Pilgrim Christian Church) that may welcome volunteers to grow vegetables or flowers for such a purpose. Some apartment complexes have raised beds too. Other apartment complexes may have the space that could be set aside for such a purpose if someone or some group were prepared to build and support a garden. And, of course, if you have a garden in your own backyard and would like to offer contributions to the food pantry closest to you, please contact the local pantry and ask how you can help.

Let's see how much good we can grow for everyone in Geauga County.
